01 / Profile

A brief account,
subject to correction.

Lumen Krusoë writes about peculiar children, concealed worlds, elaborate systems, plot puzzles, dried fruit, and the dangers of allowing efficient people to make every decision.

Too much is known about his early life, but it has graciously been forgotten and archived. He has lived in several places, misunderstood several machines, and spent an unreasonable amount of time thinking about imaginary geography.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Mr. Krusoë no longer performs with the Kray and Peache Light Jazz Orchestra, although recordings of past performances are available to license.

The Boy From
Everywhere Else

In Gridsville, everything has been perfected—except Chance Pilette.

Chance is eleven, woefully unoptimized, and increasingly suspicious of a city where broken toys replace themselves and every child’s future is tracked to the decimal.

Then a refrigerator box opens onto somewhere impossible.

The Wilds

Not a single country, but the name Gridsville gives to everything it cannot measure, control, or explain.

The map changes depending on who is holding it.
